Locomotif - First Steps
Start the Locomotif (webstart) application to construct and
generate a matcher !
Construct a finished structure (with only the open 5' and
3' ends)
:
Use the left buttons to choose a building block. Place the first
building block on the canvas by a mouse click. Add subsequent
ones to available open ends or use them to start new structure
parts.
Single strands can only be used in closed structures with only
one open end left per structure part. Then, they can be used to
prolong the 5' or 3' end or to connect either of these with
different structure parts.
Use the top buttons for editing operations on the motif.
Matcher generation:
Using the menu "Translation->Send XML", send the XML code to
our server for translation on the server. You will obtain a
bibiserv ID once compilation is finished. This may take some
time!
Running the matcher:
You can run the generated matcher program directly via Locomotif
using the menu "Run Matcher->Sequence".
