Metrans is a software platform for the taxonomical and functional analysis of metatranscriptomes. It combines easy to use deployment of analysis tools and an intuitive visualization of the results. Metrans utilizes an analysis pipeline designed for metatranscriptome datasets, including binning, rRNA filtering and functional and taxonomic profiling. All tools used in the analysis can be started from the software itself, or existing results can be uploaded for further analysis, normalization and interactiv visualization. Help pages and wizards for the tool calls guide the user through the program.
