This page contains predictions of Polycomb/Trithorax Response Elements (PREs) in Drosophila melanogaster version 4 and Drosophila pseudoobscura version 2. The prediction was performed with the jPREdictor software.

Static predictions

These are single-species genome-wide predictions. The score cutoff is 157, corresponding to a genome-wide E-value of 1. Each list contains the genomic positions of predicted PREs, their scores, and the positions of the nearest genes. When a PRE overlaps with a gene, the distance is given as "0", and only this one gene is shown.

Dynamic predictions

Dynamic predictions are done in regions of varying search radii around segments that are orthologous to predicted PREs in other species. Score cutoffs depend on the sizes of the search radii and on the number of orthologous positions. Here, static predictions in D. melanogaster were used for dynamic predictions in D. pseudoobscura, and static predictions in D. pseudoobscura were used for dynamic predictions in D. melanogaster. Each list contains the genomic positions of predicted PREs, their scores, and the positions of the nearest genes. When a PRE overlaps with a gene, the distance is given as "0", and only this one gene is shown. In addition, the positions of analagous PREs in the other species, the statically predicted starting points of the dynamic search, are given.
